Baby Blanket - Puzzle

I'm now at that age when friends all around are having babies and building families, and so it happens that two of my friends are having one as well. I wanted to make them something home made, because that's what they would like the most to have, and I also wanted to make something...playful but still keep their love of nature and natural materials in mind. The first idea that came to mind was a blanket, and I'd some time back seen a baby blanket made out like a puzzle. It sounded fun to me, so I picked some playful fabric and made a puzzle blanket! It's definitely one of the more time consuming projects, let me tell you that...

But didn't it turn out great? It's lined with a very soft linen, and the backside is also linen. I liked how the colours blended well together, and linen is a very natural, lovely fabric to have against the skin. I added a little loop for hanging it, just because...well. Just because I could!
