I'm silly... I know... But there is something special about seeing a doll you made stand for the very first time. I'm so ridiculously proud or her standing...I can imagine how a parent would see the first time their child takes a step. (Heh, I even held a hand out to catch her in case she changed her mind...)
I left the head out for this, as what I was most interested in was seeing the hip and knee joints and make sure both legs were equal length. (It's easy to just miss a tiny millimeter on things like this.)
The doll is entirely handmade out of airdrying clay and hardened with acrylic paint. She's a ball jointed doll, almost 60 cm tall. For pictures of her head, check my gallery.
She's strung with durable elastic string that was made for this kind of ball jointed doll.

do you know what kind of paint to use to give the doll a flesh tone color ? im in the middle of making a bjd and don't know what to use.
