Handmade BJD Violet - Watching the rain

Violet got her eyes today, so I put her together and put them in to see how it turned out. She's still rather rough around the edges and lacks ears and her arms are on my desk, but...isn't she a darling? <3 She's so tiny and cute, watching the rain outside. I like the way the light strikes her eyes in this picture.

I'm also fascinated that she can stand like this as well, and not only straight up. She's by far easiest to handle of my dolls.

The plan was to make Violet YoSD size, and she is 27 cm tall, but she's a lot more slender than the regular YoSD, with more of a grown up build (besides that she lacks bust, of course). There's still lots of work to be done, but... She's cute. <3 I need to make her third head as well, the one with open eyes. This head is the smiling, michevous one, though it might be a bit difficult to see without a faceup.
