Did you ever wonder what happened to the Forgotten Children? Who, you say? You know, those children no one remember. When you pick out that picture of your classmates from long ago, remembering each one of them with nostalgia, there is always that child...that child you don’t remember. Well, you do recall they were there, but only as an after thought. Their names are lost, you can’t remember them ever being around in those happy school memories of yours.

But oh, they were there. They were watching you, you just don’t remember them. The children who sat silent, watching the world slip by, losing their childhood as the minutes tick-tock by. The children who always seemed to be left out all the time, and you never noticed it happen until the teacher came and put them in a group.

Yes. Those children. Do you ever wonder what happened to them when they left school? Surely they stayed silent, got boring jobs, stayed single and nothing extra ordinary ever happened to them.

Wrong.

A forgotten child is holding in a scream. Behind the façade they are fighting a battle that isn’t theirs. A battle in which you all were participants, guilty of laughing happily in the middle of a bloody battle. Guilty of neglect. Guilty of indifference.

And that withheld scream will not stay silent forever. And when it does get released…you never know what will happen…
A small piece handling unintentional ignorance.

I think I was one of them to many. But the same time I have those people.
